Providence Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Presents Annual Group Exhibition
Providence Gallery, located in the heart of Myers Park, in Charlotte, NC, announces its second annual, Hip to be Square exhibition. The show, which features over sixty painting by select gallery artists, will be on view from Dec. 7 through Jan. 4, 2008.
Offering new works by over thirty artists, this show includes something for collectors of all genres. Traditional landscape, seascapes, figurative works and still life will be displayed along with contemporary works in abstract and collage. All paintings are squares - paintings on square canvas, board, and wood box. This fun show brings out the creativity in our artists and often they combine the square to create triptych paintings or groups of squares to form a series of works.
Featured artists include: Robert Brown, Judith Cutler, Lita Gatlin, Paula Holtzclaw, Kelley Sanford, Dorothy Shoemaker, Paul Simon, SOPHIA, Sheryl Stalnaker, Dru Warmath, Rod Wimer, Jan Yearwood, and many more.
