Charleston Artist Guild Presents Two New Exhibits
The Charleston Artist Guild is currently presenting
its 44th Annual Exhibition in the upper lobby of the Gaillard
Municipal Auditorium in downtown Charleston, SC. The exhibit,
featuring members' works in various media, will be on display
through Feb. 12. After this exhibit comes down the Guild will
put up its Annual High School Artistic Merit Awards Competition,
featuring works by students from throughout the Charleston area
who are competing for cash awards. This exhibit will be up through
Feb. 24.
The Charleston Artist Guild, now 47 years old, currently has a
membership of over 500, a paid administrator, and a new office
located at the Rhodes Center of the Arts in North Charleston,
near the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention Center, and Performing
Arts Center.
The Guild is also participating in the global art community through
its Internet web site found at (http://www.charlestonartistguild.org).
The site offers information about Guild competitions and exhibit
opportunities, a copy of its monthly newsletter, applications
for college scholarships, and much more.
