February Issue 2002
The Art Garage in Columbia, SC, Features Exhibit of USC Sculpture Students
The Art Garage located in Columbia, SC's 'SoRo'
district will present an exhibition entitled, 3D @ USC,
from Feb. 16 - 28, 2002.
3D @ USC is an invitational exhibition consisting of works
from the undergraduate sculpture students from the Fall and Spring
semesters 2001-2002. The work exhibited comes from the second
semester 3D Design, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced sculpture
courses taught by Bernadette Y. Vielbig, Visiting Assistant Professor
of Sculpture, at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
The twenty or so works are represented in a wide variety of media
and stylistic impressions of what constitutes contemporary sculpture.
While most of these works are the result of projects, each has
managed to communicate the individual voices of the different
artists.
Included in this exhibition are works by: Jessica Hiddemen, Stephanie
Leach, Caitlin Bright, Michelle Skillman, Eric Miller and many
more.
