February Issue 2003
Smith Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Features Exhibition by Tom Blagden, Jr., Tripp Smith and Darrell Davis
Smith Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, will be presenting The Nature of Art, a collection of works by photographers Tom Blagden, Jr. and Tripp Smith and sculptor Darrell Davis during the month of Feb. 2003. This unique body of work will highlight the perspectives of three different artists who gain inspiration from the nature that surrounds them.
Black and white photographer Tripp Smith focuses his work on the landscape of the Lowcountry, capturing the unseen with an intimate edge. Tom Blagden Jr. exhibits the force of nature through his use of color photography. The drama he produces with his lens is unimaginable.
Darrell Davis rounds off the trio with bronze wildlife sculpture that comes alive through his brazen use of form and line.
All three artists have a deep and profound
love of nature, and the combination of this is a celebration of
the earth through art.
