The Wells Gallery in Charleston, SC, Presents Benefit Exhibition
The Wells Gallery in Charleston, SC, is featuring an exhibition entitled, Charleston Chiaroscuro in support of the From Darkness to Light organization. The exhibit will be on view through Feb. 16, 2003.
From Darkness to Light is a local charity whose mission is to reduce the incidence and consequences of child sexual abuse through public awareness of the problem. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings will go towards the charity. A number of artists who are represented in Charleston have been chosen to make their interpretation of the theme From Darkness to Light.
The title, Charleston Chiaroscuro, was selected in support of the organizations name. Chiaroscuro - chi.a.ro.scu.ro, n. the distribution of light and dark in a picture.
