Dog Art Dealer Offers Artists for Charleston's Wildlife Expo
The Dog Art Dealer will feature works by Bee Booth and Nancy Pellatt during the month of Feb., 2004, during the time the Southeastern Wildlife Expo takes place in Charleston, SC.
The naturalist Bee Booth,
is possibly the most romantic of the Dog Art Dealer's stable.
Booth comes from a background of hunting and showing her own dogs.
Her knowledge of the animal's correct structure, purpose, personality
and settings are brought together with her ability to capture
the expression and the soul of the animal by looking into its
eyes. Booth's ability to paint a dog's eyes is unparalleled.
South Carolina artist, Nancy Pellatt, who studied with two founding
members of the American Academy of Equine Art, has earned herself
a name in the fine art world. Her refreshingly classical pragmatic
renditions of animals have gained her national publicity on the
cover of several prominent equestrian magazines and a place in
numerous museums and galleries across the nation. A member of
one of the country's oldest women's' art clubs, Pellatt's artwork
offers a classically styled keepsake of your pet.
Dog Art Dealer is a source for dog paintings by national, international,
and regional artists who paint 21st Century portraits of pets
or simply dog paintings, select 19th and early 20th century paintings.
Jaynie Milligan Spector, of Dog Art Dealer, has studied with Sothebys in London and worked as an art advisor since 1977. She has also worked for a short period in Christies Contemporary Art Department in New York and at a Soho art gallery. "To be able to combine beautiful artwork with the love of dogs is exhilarating." Trained by studying old masters at Sothebys and well qualified with knowledge gained from working with the entire contemporary art market, Spector is able to find the best quality artists who reflect 21st Century art and masterfully depict dogs. Dog Art Dealer also offers 19th and early 20th century hunting and dog paintings which are selected by the former 19th Century Director from Christies who is currently a private dealer.
