Artworks Gallery in Winston-Salem, NC, Features Works by Cary Clifford
Artworks Gallery in Winston-Salem, NC, is presenting the exhibition, Homeland, featuring the photography of Cary Clifford, from Feb. 1 - 26, 2005. Her work is large format landscapes, black and white photographs from all over the country plus color work on the Yadkin River.
The Jan. 9, 2005, edition or the New York Times said that "Cary Clifford's silver-gelatin prints offer an exotic view of that mysterious region of the country."
Clifford received her BA in history from Rice University. She is represented by Clampart Gallery in NYC, and has received grants to do photographic projects from Rice University (The Charles Garside Fellowship), and the Ruth Chenven Foundation in NYC. Clifford did a residency at the Weir Farm Trust in Connecticut.
