Dog Art Dealer/Horse Art Dealer in Charleston, SC, announces its most exciting and highly anticipated exhibition to date. In keeping with tradition, during the month of February (Feb. 2 - 28, 2007) and in conjunction with the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, the show will include the exquisitely talented and nationally recognized sporting artist, Beth Carlson. Since last May, the gallery has ventured into another forum of sporting art, specifically equine art in our expanding "stable". Introducing this new venture we are featuring world renowned equine artist, Monica Acee's equine and canine paintings.
Carlson's gift with oil painting has made her sporting landscapes a coveted item among America's top collectors. Her inspiring hunting scenes have gained her praise from one of the most famous sporting artists, Robert Abbett who comments that "she possesses a conviction of accuracy and authenticity which are both necessary and appreciated by her collectors". Carlson's landscapes, canine sporting scenes, and horses are timeless, intriguing, and enormously pleasing to the eye.
The exciting new addition to our stable this
year is Monica Acee. Her childhood, spent in Colorado participating
in a variety of riding events, was an experience that helped her
develop a love for horses, and a deep appreciation for details
which are meticulously applied to her watercolors. Upon first
viewing her work, the individual is forced to lean in very close
to the painting in order to distinguish the alluring piece of
art that is in front of them, from a photograph. In these featured
paintings, Acee's use of lush colors and her clear understanding
of equine anatomy and movement is astonishing.
