University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, Features USC Faculty Exhibition
Artwork by University of South Carolina department
of art faculty members are on display through Apr. 7, 2007, at
McKissick Museum in Columbia, SC, as part of the department's
biennial exhibition.
The exhibit includes about 40 pieces of art representing a variety
of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking,
ceramics, digital and computer media, woodworking, drawing and
film.
"Works included in this exhibition showcase the creativity
and diversity of talent among the new and existing faculty members,"
said Jason Shaiman, the museum's chief curator of exhibitions.
The exhibit offers students, faculty, staff and the public an
opportunity to view recent works produced by those who teach and
help shape future artists of the university.
"The exhibit is a great opportunity for students, colleagues
and friends to see what the faculty in department of art are doing
at a convenient, single, local location," said Chris Robinson,
professor of visual arts.
