Red Piano Art Gallery in Hilton Head Island, SC, Features Shore Paintings by Ken Otsuka
The Red Piano Art Gallery in Hilton Head Island, SC, announced today its upcoming Spring 2001 exhibit entitled Seashore Meditations featuring paintings by renowned artist Ken Otsuka who resides in Upper Montclair, NJ. This will be Otsuka's first exhibit in the Southeast and one of the most visually exciting ones to come to Hilton Head Island in many years. The exhibit will be on view from Mar. 24 through Apr. 14.
Otsuka's paintings are a natural for Hilton Head Island residents and visitors alike. They produce an immediate impact on the viewer who treasures their long meditative strolls along our premier beaches. As one walks along our seashores they view seashells scattered among the sand, about to be engulfed by creeping seafoam or a lone shell just rushed to shore by gently rolling waves. These are some of the imagery infused in the realistic style paintings of Otsuka. The paintings are grand in manner and so realistically painted it is hard not to feel you are a part of the moment in which they were inspired.
