Darren Young ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Connie Winters

Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present the exhibition, Generation Gap, featuring works by Connie Winters and Darren Young, from Mar. 14 through Apr. 17, 2003.

A twenty year career as a full-time artist has earned Winters a prominent place in manyprivate and corporate collections including, Coca-Cola, the Hearst Family and our own Duke Mansion. Her refreshing, honest approach and original compositions continue to grow in popularity. Winters paints in a classic impressionist style inspired by annual jaunts to France, the home of Impressionism.

Darren Young was an art instructor at the University of Colorado in Denver with a MFA from the University of Indiana. He has recently re-located to Charlotte and is teaching art at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, and at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. Young is known for his intensely colored, over-sized paintings that are often landscape derivitives.
