Smith-Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Offers Works by Jennifer Smith Rogers

Smith-Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, is delighted to announce its third solo exhibition for Charleston native, Jennifer Smith Rogers. Rogers is introducing the Charleston Heights collection. A series of oil paintings, with a birds eye view of the unique cityscapes that Charleston offers. The exhibit will be on line and in the gallery from Mar. 1 - 31, 2003.

Only a native with Rogers' intense knowledge of the area and adoration of architecture can show Charleston in all its beauty. "I was refreshed and inspired to experience my home town from viewpoints that weren't so familiar. Whether looking out the second floor balcony of the Dock Street Theater over a graveyard, or from Fort Moultrie over the tip of Sullivan's Island to the harbor. To catch a sweeping vista of the peninsula and surrounding waters, all offer a unique document of modern day Charleston". There is a soft intimate quality imbedded in the brilliant colors and familiar landscape. Collectors and admirers will be impressed with the growth this collection details.

Known as a member of the Smith family of artists, Rogers holds a degree in fine art from Clemson University. On a personal note, she completed this collection while expecting her first child, due in May.
