The ability to choose your own view may be one reason why landscapes are so appealing. Whether an imaginary or a specific location, the ability to wander in our minds to that place, if just for a moment, is magical. From breathtaking vistas of the western North Carolina Mountains to dreamlike shorelines veiled in mist, the works on display at Hayes George Gallery take the viewer on a journey of the imagination.
Kathleen Lynch Dunn
Hayes George Gallery artists use a variety of materials such as acrylics, casein, pastels and wax to produce images of breathtaking landscapes. It is a hallmark of Hayes George Gallery to bring different artists, genres and textures together in one show that would otherwise not be viewed in a single exhibition. Land and Light II is wonderful example of how a single subject can inspire so many interpretations and evoke a variety of emotions.
