Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Offers Works KaCye Kinchen-Farina
The Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, will present the exhibit, Then & Now, featuring works by KaCye Kinchen-Farina. The exhibit on view in the Grace Etheredge Room at the Opportunity House, from Mar. 4 - 30, 2007.
The artist, a resident of Cedar Mountain, says of her work, "When I came home to Cedar Mountain for good in 1982, I began painting in earnest. In the mid 90's, I found the power of the pallet knife to convey the sense of peace and serenity that abounds in these hills."
Although basically self-taught, Kinchen-Farina has taken classes with Donna Beaver, Frank Jennings, Morgan Samuel Price, and has traveled as an assistant to Lynne Pitland of Paint With Pitland on TV.
Kinchen-Farina is winner of numerous awards. Her work can also be seen at #7 Art in Brevard, NC, and Blue Valley Gallery, Cashiers, NC.
