Horton Hayes Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Chris Groves
Horton Hayes Fine Art in Charleston, SC, is pleased to announce the opening of a solo exhibition of the paintings of Chris Groves entitled Mountains to the Sea. The show will commence on Mar. 1 and continue through Mar. 17, 2007.
Groves was born in Colorado, but grew up mainly in Louisiana. He later returned to live in Colorado and over the past few years has spent a good deal of time visiting the Lowcountry. Surrounding himself with such diverse landscapes has inspired Groves to vary his landscape subjects. In this grouping one will find the soaring peaks and river valleys, tall trees and high clouds of the Rockies juxtaposed against the tidal waterways and grasses, sandy dunes and ocean horizons of the Lowcountry.
