March Issue 2008
I. Pinckney Simons Gallery in Beaufort, SC, Features Works by Hilarie Lambert
The
I. Pinckney Simons Gallery in Beaufort, SC, will present the exhibit,
South Carolina to Italy and Back, featuring the works of
award winning painter, Hilarie Lambert. The exhibition will be
on view from Mar. 7 - 29, 2008. The collection of works will reveal
her travels throughout the last year.
Lambert's numerous one-woman shows, awards,
and participation in internationally acclaimed juried events has
enabled her to follow her passion for both painting and traveling.
Original to the Finger Lakes Region of New York, she enjoys the
beautiful atmospheric landscape and romance of the South Carolina
Lowcountry.
Primarily self taught, and a former graphic designer Lambert is
captured by things...by the architectural allure of historic buildings,
the light play and illumination of a bird's wing or simply the
shadow play on the human figure. Her strong loose brush strokes
signify her classic style and her signature flair for interpreting
her relationship with the landscape, the figure, and still-life
presentation.
Lambert is currently a member of The Oil Painters of America, The Portrait Society of America and the National Association for Woman Artists.
On Mar. 8, 2008, Lambert will give a demonstration of her work and sign copies of her new book, Paintings From Italy and France.
The gallery exhibits an ongoing collection
of works by Lambert in both its Beaufort and Columbia, SC, locations.
