Red Piano Art Gallery on Hilton Head Island, SC, Features Works by Edward Rice

The Red Piano Art Gallery in Hilton Head Island, SC, announced today their first Spring 2002 exhibit entitled, Edward Rice: Architectural & Lowcountry Paintings, on view through Apr. 11, 2002.

Nationally recognized SC painter Edward Rice has long enjoyed a reputation as an "artist of merit". High regard for his work is evidenced by a twenty-five year exhibition record and inclusion in Museum collections such as The Gibbes Museum of Art, Charleston, SC, The Georgia Museum of Art, Athens, GA, and The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, LA. Rice is past recipient of a SC Arts Commission Fellowship and a Southern Arts Federation/National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship. The artist's work was recently included in the prestigious San Francisco International Art Exposition.

The Red Piano Art Gallery is proud to present the latest paintings of Rice, which focus on the architecture and landscape of the American South for which he is best known. This will be Rice's second solo exhibit at the gallery during the past few years.
