Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC, Presents Works by John Beerman

With great excitement, the Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC, announces an exhibition by acclaimed landscape master John Beerman. The exhibition continues through Apr. 22. Beerman will exhibit oil paintings, etchings, and monoprints.

The Greensboro-born artist has achieved what few of his contemporaries have, as his paintings and reputation have gained the attention and love of collectors throughout the nation. With works in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The North Carolina Museum of Art, The Saint John's Museum, The Cleveland Museum, and the Farnsworth in Maine (among many others), Beerman has also had paintings hung in the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York, the Weatherspoon Art Gallery, the Neuberger Museum, and the Contemporary Art Museum of Houston, to name a few. One of Beerman's paintings is also among the collection of the North Carolina Governor's mansion.

Residing in New York, John Beerman returns to Somerhill and to his native NC at the end of March with a spectacular installation of work not previously exhibited anywhere in the nation. Somerhill has represented Beerman for many years, and welcoming him back to the triangle community is both a pleasure and an honor.
