On-line E-Gallery, Garden Art Gallery Hosts Sculpture Invitational
Garden Art Gallery will be hosting the ninth annual Art In The Garden Sculpture Invitational on Saturday May 3, 2003 from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday May 5, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
The Art In The Garden Sculpture Invitational is a juried show and sale featuring new work by nine accomplished artists. Works will include large figurative and abstract sculptural pieces and finely crafted whimsical pieces. All work is available for sale and the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. The show is free and open to the public. The exhibition will be held at the studio and garden of Tinka Jordy at 1902 Borland Road, Hillsborough, NC.
Exhibiting Artists include: Salinda Dahl, Ceramic Sculpture; Stephen Cote, Metal Sculpture; Kristin Gudjonsdottir, Glass, Clay and Metal Sculpture; Dawn Stetzet, Clay and Metal Installations; Cam McCamy, Clay and Mixed Media Sculpture; Ursula Goebels-Ellis, Clay and Mixed Media Sculpture; Tinka Jordy, Stoneware Sculpture; William Moore, Marble and Clay Sculpture; and Edwin White, Metal Sculpture.
Garden Art Gallery is an on-line gallery and artist cooperative which can be found on the internet at (www.garden-art.com). Garden Art Gallery's internet site is a juried art exhibition being developed by artists, to communicate with one another and allow ourselves to exhibit and share our work with the worldwide community on the internet. The annual Art In The Garden Sculpture Invitational allows us to exhibit and share the work of selected artists with the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill community. The internet site provides links to artists whose work is appropriate for outdoor installations... Sculpture that will withstand rain and sun... Art that is intended to be shared with those that walk or ride by... whether it is installed in a public setting or tucked into a small garden.
