HoFP Gallery in Columbia, SC, Opens New Gallery Space with Exhibition of Works by Toni Elkins
HoFP Gallery in Columbia, SC, announces their new gallery's inaugural show, Up in the Air, featuring acrylic paintings and water media on paper by Toni Elkins. The show will be on view through Apr. 10, 2003.
HoFP owner Alice Perritt and the gallery's staff invite you to come and meet nationally known Columbia artist, Toni Elkins. She is a member of the SC and National Watercolor Societies and was the first SC artist elected to Signature Membership in Watercolor USA. Elkins has received the Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award (SC's highest award in the Arts), the Women of Distinction Award, and numerous purchase and merit awards in venues all across the country. She is well-known for her commitment to and tireless work for the arts.
Up in the Air is the first show to be held in HoFP
Gallery's newly completed upstairs gallery. Designed specifically
for shows, the new space rises above the shops of Devine Street
and is enhanced with an open terrace. In deference to the historic
character of the Old Shandon neighboorhood of Columbia, the addition
is set to the rear of the building and virtually invisible from
the street. This show is a great opportunity to see both the space
and wonderful paintings by Elkins. The exhibit is free and the
public is invited to attend.
