An eclectic collection of authorized, numbered, and limited-edition prints will be on display from Apr. 15 through June 13, 2003, in the Hamilton Gallery located in the L. Nelson Bell Library on the Montreat College campus in Montreat, NC. This exhibit, ranging in content from serious to humorous, is entitled, Modern, Contemporary, and Folk Art - Selected Works From a Private Collection, and features signed and numbered collector-quality pieces and original works.

Featured artists include: the multi-dimensional creative artist Peter Max who combined his own brand of realism with graphic art techniques to create the "Cosmic '60s" style, which catapulted him to fame and fortune; artist and composer Mark Kostabi whose name is linked to New York, and who became a leading figure of the East Village art movement; and North Carolina folk artist Benny Carter who is best known for his intricate paintings, particularly those of New York City. Additional works featured in this exhibit include intaglio, photographs, color lithographs, tempera, and other mixed media works.
