Asheville Area Arts Council Gallery Exhibits Work of Julie Gillum

The Arts Council Front Gallery in Asheville, NC, will feature the photography of local artist, Julie Gillum, is a show entitled Behind the Clothes from May 5 - 31. Gillum is best known throughout Asheville as a performing artist. She is the co-director of the modern dance company, J.D. Project. Her photography has become her best kept secret and now it is time to reveal her new works. The subject of her photography includes nature, architecture, dance and nudes.

Behind the clothes, every part of the skin is waiting to show us its hidden face, every muscle to get eyes and reach toward the surrounding air, following the wind, the light and the dark.
