The exhibit celebrates abilities and talents, recognizing the participants first and foremost as successful and creative artists. The afterthought is that these artists are challenged by disabilities. But with a published book of poems on their resume, hundreds of awards, sold out shows, numerous articles and international exhibits, these artists make major strides in breaking down the stigma typically associated with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
