Silver Fox Gallery in Tryon, NC, Features Works by William Martin Jean
The Silver Fox Gallery
in Tryon, NC, is presenting the exhibition, Visual Dialogues,
featuring paintings by William Martin Jean through May 29, 2003.
Jean, an award-winning Cleveland, Ohio artist, is the gallery's
newest resident fine artist. Visual Dialogues, his latest
work of mixed media and acrylic on canvas, is inspired by that
which has always inspired him: "My fascination with architecture"
and the "nobility and grandeur of classical buildings,"
Jean says.
The work is large, geometrical in form and powerful, and represents
the two elements of art that Jean says continue to hold his interest
- "simplicity of design and subtlety of color."
Visual Dialogues capture what the artist says
about himself as he ages - that he seeks the calm that comes with
the order created in his art.
