City Hall in Charleston, SC, Offers Annual Memorial Exhibit to Honor Patricia O. Carter
The Office of Cultural Affairs of the City of Charleston and the Charleston Artist Guild are pleased to announce that the sixth annual Patricia O. Carter Memorial Exhibition will be held in the Charleston City Hall in downtown Charleston, SC, from May 28 through June 11, 2004, as a part of the 2004 Piccolo Spoleto Festival. In recognition of artists who suffer from handicap, illness or disability, the Carter Memorial Exhibition this year will focus on the art of Alzheimers.
Cisco Lindsey
Art works by a number of local area Alzheimers patients will be featured along with works by three Charleston Artist Guild members who have frequently volunteered their time at local Alzheimers facilities to assist patients in creating art work as they cope with their disabling disease. Works by CAG members, Frank Carney, Cisco Lindsey and Joe Nichols will also be a part of the exhibition. The three are all active artists whose volunteer efforts have enabled a number of Alzheimers patients to express themselves through painting as they suffer from a progressively disabling disease.
The exhibition will be open during regular City Hall business hours during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
