TwoArtChicks in Greensboro, NC, Offers Works by Cindy Taylor Walton

TwoArtChicks in Greensboro, NC, is proud to present the exhibit, Transition, featuring a new body of work by Asheville, NC, artist Cindy Taylor Walton, from May 6 through June 19, 2004.

This body of work documents the artist's search for change in life and in work. With oils and mixed media, Walton's images focus attention not only on the figures on the canvas, but also the emotion and the physical act of painting.

Walton grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, where her interest in art began. In 1979, she graduated from Salem College in Winston-Salem with a BA in Art, emphasis in Art History. After graduation she put her art career on hold. After moving to Asheville in 1988 with her husband and two daughters, she began to actively take up painting again. Walton is presently pursuing a BFA Certificate at the University of NC at Asheville.

TwoArtChicks represents close to 300 diverse artists from across the country. Its gallery showcases original artwork and fine crafts: everything from watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, cards, metal, sculpture, dolls, mixed media, wood and much more! The gallery has something for every taste and every budget! In addition to its sales gallery, TwoArtChicks also has 12 working artist studios for lease annually, offers classes and workshops by local, national and international artists in traditional arts and fine crafts and offers the building for rental for special events and activities.
