Three WNC Galleries Present Gallery Tour on May 22, 2004
Celebrating North Carolina's Year of Crafts a self-guided tour of three fine American craft galleries on the String of Pearls Loop of The Craft Heritage Trails of Western North Carolina, published by HandMade in America, will be held on Sat., May 22, 2004 from 10am to 6pm. The tour begins with a kickoff breakfast and presentation on the region's exceptional fine craft movement. The tour will include Heartwood Gallery at 21 E. Main Street in Saluda, NC, WICKWIRE fine art/folk art at 330 N. Main Street in Hendersonville, NC, and Hand in Hand Gallery at 2720 Greenville Highway (US 25 South) in Flat Rock, NC.
This is a ticketed event and will include a
catered breakfast at the Kellogg Center at 11 Broyles Road, Hendersonville,
NC, at 9:30am, followed by a 30 minute talk by Betty Hurst, Project
Coordinator of HandMade in America. Each ticket will include a
map of the tour and will entitle holders to a 10% discount on
all purchases. By visiting all three galleries, ticket holders
will be eligible for a drawing for one of three works of art valued
at over $200 each. Tickets are $12 each and will be on sale at
all three gallery locations.
Craft demonstrations will be held at these galleries that day.
Three Pearls - A Gallery Tour is held in conjunction with String
of Pearls an exhibition of the Craft Heritage Trail held at
the Center for Craft, Creativity, and Design at the Kellogg Center
through May 4, 2004.
