Providence Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by Four Artists
Providence Gallery and Art Gallery and Studios, both in Charlotte, NC, will present, A Road Less Traveled, a landscape exihibition showcasing the work of four local artists, Lita Gatlin, Kelley Sanford, Cama Tadlock and Jan Yearwood. The exhibit will be on view at Providence Gallery from May 6 - 31, 2005.
Lita Gatlin finds inspiration in the beauty and color of the natural world. She uses oils to express the changes in light and atmosphere. Jan Yearwood views the landscape in brilliant hues. Her impressionistic style allows for a thick application of color.
Kelley Sanford depicts the landscape with the use of a palette knife. She captures bright sunlight and deep shadows that play across the surface of her paintings. Cama Tadlock's paintings are reflective of remembered emotions of time and place. Her scenes evoke mood and emotion.
