New Gallery in Rock Hill, SC, to Showcase Local Fine Art
The Frame Shop and Gallery of Rock Hill, SC, currently located at 570 North Anderson Road, has opened an "art café" at 135 South Herlong, next to Pat-a Cakes Bakery and Café.
The concept of the "art café" will be to allow patrons of the bakery and café to enjoy the decadent pastries or a latte while stimulating their visual senses with local fine art. A separate room from the bakery has been set aside in the gallery where some tables will accommodate bakery customers. The works will rotate monthly with a new artist's work every month.
Artists will also be available to meet and greet the public to talk about their artwork the first Sat. of the month. Some will even offer demonstrations of their artistic talents during this time. The "art café" will also offer custom framing services.
The current exhibit features, Country Life, offering works by Holly Glasscock. This includes portraits, animals and landscapes of country living, done in pencil, pastels and oils. Glasscock will also be available in the gallery from 10am-2pm, Mon.-Fri., to talk to patrons interested in her artwork and artists interested in exhibiting in the gallery.
