UNC-Asheville in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Olivia Korman
An exhibition entitled, Bethel: Portraits of a Village, featuring some 30 photographs by UNC-Asheville senior Olivia Korman, will be on view May 1 - 13, 2005, at UNC Asheville's Blowers Gallery, located on the main floor of UNC-A's Ramsey Library in Asheville, NC. The show is the culmination of Korman's work toward her bachelor of arts degree at UNC Asheville.
In the exhibition, Korman documents her experiences traveling in Nicaragua as part of her senior Interdisciplinary Studies project, "Documenting Culture," which involves photography, anthropology, literature and language. As part of her thesis, Korman's written observations will also be included in the show.
