Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Kelly Chelena
The Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, is presenting an exhibition of works by Kelly Chelena of Hendersonville, NC, through May 31, 2006.
Chelena began her art studies at the University of Georgia, and received her BFA from Georgia State. Her work began as representational but has become more abstract as she continues to work and experiment. The transformation came about, according to Chelena, "When I began to realize the background of my portraits and flower paintings were more interesting to me than the subject matter."
Asheville Gallery of Art, a co-op gallery representing 30 regional artists is Asheville's longest running art gallery.
