The Preservation Society of Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC, Features Works by Richard Kinnaird
The Preservation Society of Chapel Hill in Chapell Hill, NC, will present the exhibit, Color, Collage, Curiosity, Community Years of Commitment, featuring works by Richard Kinnaird at the Horace Williams House in Chapel Hill, NC, from May 6 - 25, 2007.
As the tango is to Buenos Aires, Argentina, Kinnaird is to Chapel Hill art scene. Although he was born in Buenos Aires in 1931, his family returned to America when he was very young. Since he joined the faculty of the Art Department at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill forty years ago, he has enriched lives, inspired students, and contributed mightily to the art world. A prolific artist, Kinnaird has been honored with prizes, solo exhibitions and group shows in North Carolina and beyond.
The preservation Society of Chapel Hill and the Horace Williams House Art Committee pay tribute to Kinnaird for his tremendous contribution to the community by presenting an exhibition of his paintings Years of Commitment.
