Landrum Quilters Presents Quilt Show in Landrum, SC
Landrum Quilters' Threads of Tradition
Show will be Fri. - Sun., June 22-24 at the Landrum High School
Gymnasium in Landrum, SC. This activity is in cooperation with
the Spartanburg Recreation Department and the Town of Landrum.
The centerpiece of the Show is the many quilts done by Club members.
Some features you won't want to miss; The Silent Auctions Baskets
of 'Fat Quarters' Raffle, Challenge Blocks, People's Choice Award,
a Boutique, Ronald McDonald Display, A Merchants Mall, the O.P.
Earle Elementary School "Post Card Project", hands on
demonstrations and last but not least, a chance to buy raffle
tickets for our beautiful Queen sized pieced Quilt, titled Stepping
Stones. It will be on display during the Show and the drawing
is Sunday afternoon for the raffle quilt. Where can you get this
much FUN for only a $2 admission?
On June 22 we are happy to offer a class with Marge LaBenne, beginning at 9am. She will be teaching the "Carolina Lily" pattern in a Wallhanging size at the Landrum High School Library. If interested in the class, please contact Judy, at address below.
Money raised by Landrum Quilters during this show will be used to sponsor educational projects throughout the year such as workshops that are open to members and the community at large. Landrum Quilters donate to several local charities; Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, SC and "Steps to Hope" a women and children's shelter in Polk County, NC and the Landrum Library.
