June Issue 2002
Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Cathy Searle
The Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, will have as "Artist of the Month" for June, 2002, Asheville painter Cathy Searle.
Searle's works are distinguished by their unique interpretation of line, shape and color, at once both subtle, dramatic and intriguing. In this exhibit she is involved with the evolution of, and exploration into the more solid sculptural forms found in her latest paintings. Design and a sophisticated palette are sought in each piece, but movement, that has been signature throughout her body of work has not been lost with the development of a new powerful simplicity.
Searle's has participated in and taken awards in local, regional, state and national exhibits.
