The Art Institute of Charlotte Gallery in Charlotte, NC, to Feature New York City Society of Illustrators Guild Show
In Charlotte,
NC, The Art Institute of Charlotte Gallery's next exhibit will
be The New York City Society of Illustrators Guild Show
- original works from the Society's 44th Annual Exhibition. The
exhibit runs June 2-30, 2003.
The Society's Annual Exhibition features illustrations from six
categories: Sequential, Editorial, Book, Advertising, Institutional
and Uncommissioned. The show includes artists who are familiar
names and rising stars.
The New York City Society of Illustrators was formed in 1901 by a group of nine artists and one advising businessman. The founding credo was, "The object of the Society shall be to promote generally the art of illustration and to hold exhibitions from time to time."
