Lin comments on his work, "My current paintings are about the personal relationships between males and females. In particular, it is the closeness that concerns me the most. The positions that hands are in or the soft curve of a body inspires these works. These works are created from a combination of life and photographic sources, my feelings and emotional state. The movements in my paintings are an important element that represent not only thoughts but also my emerging subconscious sentiments. The images of my photography give me the guide to evoke my memory. My paintings are my diary, a visual record of the body, the mind, and the human spirit. It reflects and communicates my everyday feelings."
