Coffey & Thompson Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by Richard Plasschaert
The Coffey & Thompson Gallery in Charlotte, NC, is hosting an exhibition for Minnesota artist Richard Plasschaert. His oil paintings will be on display through June 30, 2003.
Plasschaeret
is widely known for his realistic landscapes, rural scenes, and
wildlife. He won the 1980-1981 Federal Duck Stamp design
competition which he considers his highest honor, but a close
second was winning the prestigious Ducks Unlimited 2001-2002 International
Artist of the Year. He has also won several state conservation
stamp competitions. Plasschaeret's painting was selected for North
Carolina's first Duck Stamp in 1984.
"Richard has a very evocative style and yet stays true to
anatomical detail and accuracy. His original work and limited
edition prints are highly sought after by collectors," says
Bill Coffey, gallery owner.
