The Gallery in Charleston, SC, Features Group Exhibit by Artists from New York and Charleston

Brenda Cook curates a group exhibition of contemporary artists entitled, From New York to Charleston, that will be on display in Charleston, SC, from May 23 through June 7, 2003, during the time frame of the 2003 Spoleto Festival. Last year Cook presented in Charleston the well received exhibition 80's Art Stars. This year the exhibited artists are drawn from the communities of artists currently working in Charleston and New York City.

Over thirty artists, most at an early stage in their career, present examples of their recent work. Works of art range from small drawings to large paintings and sculpture. For the exhibition Cook took over the 4,500 square foot space formerly known as The Firm at 77 Wentworth Street in downtown Charleston.

Participating artists include: Rob Wynne-New York, Manning Williams-Charleston, Julie Townsley-Charleston, Gordon Terry-New York, Patrick Thorne-New York, Gwenn Thomas-New York, Kevin Taylor-Charleston, Aleksandr Surikov-New York, Brian Storts-New York, R. T. Shepard-Charleston, Bob Snead-Charleston, Molly B. Right-Charleston, Lynne Riding-Charleston, Adam Raymont-New York, Paul Henry Ramirez-New York, Joyce Pensato-New York, Landis-Charleston, Elisabeth Kley-New York, Phillip Hyman-Charleston, Kevin Harrison-Charleston, Rupert Goldsworthy-New York, Andrew Gellatly-New York, Marcy Freedman-New York, Arnold Edmondson-Charleston, John Duckworth-Charleston, Lese Corrigan-Charleston, Jeff Corbin-Charleston, Tiffany Cole-Charleston, Eva Carter-Charleston, Carol Bove-New York, David Boatwright-Charleston, Ion Birch-New York, Trey Beasley-Charleston, Erik Bakke-New York, and Bea Aronson-Charleston.
