Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Barbara Walter
The Art League of Henderson County will present an exhibition entitled, Aspects of Nature, featuring works by Barbara Walter in the Grace Etheredge Room at Opportunity House in Hendersonville, NC. The exhibit will be on view from June 2 through July 7, 2006.
Walter's work focuses on color and movement. Her lifelong love of nature, trees, rocks and skies inspires most of her work. It is expressed through organic shapes and designs colored by her imagination.
Nurturing an interest in art throughout her working life, Walter took the opportunity for studying with the late Dorothy Mokeau after moving to western North Carolina. Since then she has become more involved in the art world and has enhanced her skills through studying books and tapes. Walter has also taken numerous workshops with notable artists. Most of her focus has been on watercolor, but recently, her interest in painting with oils has been re-awakened. Walter's paintings have also been shown at the Glass Feather Studio in Cedar Mountain.
