Arts United for Davidson County in Lexington, NC, Features Annual Juried Show
Arts United for Davidson County in Lexington, NC, announces the opening of its annual Spotlight Juried Exhibition on June 13, 2006. The art work will remain on exhibit in the Arts United Gallery through July 29, 2006.
Greg Shelnutt, Director of the Visual Arts Program at the NC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, will select from entries what will be exhibited. In addition, he will be awarding cash prizes, $220 1st Place, $110 2nd Place and $50 for 3rd Place.
Shelnutt received his Fine Arts Degree from East Carolina University and his Master's Degree from Univ. of Georgia in 1988. From 1988 to 2000 he taught sculpture at the University of Mississippi before coming to NCSA in 2000. He has also taught in Cortona, Italy and Melbourne, Australia. His work has been exhibited in over 300 solo, invitational and group exhibitions.
