Asheville Area Arts Council in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Celia Gray, Constance Humphries and Kelcey Loomer
Asheville Area Arts Council in Asheville, NC, will present an exhibition featuring the works of Celia Gray, Constance Humphries and Kelcey Loomer, in the Front Gallery from June 1 - 29, 2007.
Celia Gray is a sculptor focused on building natural and mechanical forms with common, readily available materials that when combined and constructed create larger, more richly textured surfaces.
Constance Humphries grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Her new works express the boundless energy of life as she departs from portraits to kinetic and abstract paintings and drawings.
Kelcey Loomer's pieces are inspired by a series of déjàvu she recently experienced. By working in encaustic, she readily relays this through layers and depth and small detail.
