The Gallery at Carillon in Charlotte,
NC, Presents Group Exhibition
The Gallery at Carillon in Charlotte, NC, announces the exhibition, Object-Based, now on view through July, 2008. This group exhibition explores the use of domicile objects-spoons, bells, balls-to convey the artists' relationships to personal and universal themes such as family, the environment and social-political issues.
The participating artists are: Doug Casebeer, Program Director of Ceramics and Sculpture, Anderson Ranch Arts Center Snowmass Village, CO; Kara Gunter, Columbia, SC, MFA Candidate in Sculpture, Minor in Ceramics, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC; Bradford Davis, Artist Assistant to Virginia Scotchie, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC; Rick Parsons, Program Coordinator of Sculpture, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Snowmass Village, CO; and Virginia Scotchie, Professor Studio Art Department of Art McMaster College, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC.
