July Issue 2000
Asheville Arts Council, in Asheville, NC, Exhibits Works by Tim Reese & Ann Cason
The Asheville Area Arts Council in Asheville, NC, will feature the photographs of regional artists, Tim Reese and Ann Cason, in a joint exhibit in The Front Gallery July 1 - 31, 2000.
Reeses's works reflect his passion for nature. The pieces on display are of a process called Polaroid Emulsion Transfers. He begins with a standard slide and ends with an image printed on watercolor paper.
Cason prefers to work in black and white and frequently shoots with infrared film which produces unusual lighting effects. Her photographs reflect her appreciation for the beauty of everyday objects and the sanctity of the natural environment.
