Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC, Features Group Invitational Exhibition
Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC, announces the opening of its summer group invitational exhibit, Elaborate Surface. The works of four artists will be included in this exhibit, which runs through Aug. 4, 2000. Featured artists in Elaborate Surface include Susan Brandeis, Matt Jacobs, Stan Gilliam, and Jim Protzman.
Gallery Director Joseph Rowand commented, "We are delighted to highlight the common thread of surface design and pattern that runs through the fiberworks of Susan Brandeis, the wood constructions of Stan Gilliam, the wonderful wild gourds of Jim Protzman, and the paintings of Matt Jacobs, made this a natural combination. Viewers will revel in the wealth and variety of pattern and design these artists bring to this exhibit."
