July Issue 2000
Watercolors Featured at Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC
Tryon Painters and Sculptors in Tryon, NC, is featuring an exhibit of watercolor works by Travelers Rest, SC, artist Suzanna Lanford Greene at the Tryon Fine Arts Center. The exhibit will continue through July 18, 2000.
A self-described "child of the South," Green is best recognized for her florals - both traditionally realistic and wildly abstract. However, her deep commitment to women's causes has led her to the creation of a series of paintings linking famous faces with mythological figures. She has grown as an artist through experimentation and exploration of the watercolor media, mastered its techniques and now uses it to be truly creative and expressive of her own inner feelings.
