White Moon Artisans Gallery Opens Doors in Cashiers, NC
On June 1, Karen Weihs and her business manager
husband, Chris Weihs, opened an art gallery, the White Moon Artisans
Gallery, in Cashiers, NC, in the former location of the Nantahala
Power Company. The two saw the opportunity to open a gallery featuring
one-of-a-kind original pieces of art, glass, sculpture, paintings,
furniture and jewelry. Some fine antiques will be showcased.
Karen Weihs has been an artist in Charleston, SC, for many years,
owning a partnership in a gallery there. As an oil painter, author
and art consultant, she says, " I am thrilled to bring some
outstanding artists to show in this area. From our own Western
North Carolina to New York City, White Moon will represent some
of the most talented artisans. I am excited to bring some of my
artist friends from Charleston to show their work."
Ruth Ann Terry who has been an art agent to Karen and other artists
will serve as the outside representative. " We hope to fill
all the art lovers' desires and offer some interesting finds and
antiques that are one-of-a-kind at White Moon," says Chris
Weihs.
