Myersart Gallery/Clay on Camden in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by Kim Frazier
Myersart Gallery/Clay on Camden, located in the South End of Charlotte, NC, will feature functional stoneware pottery by Kim Frazier through July 31, 2002.
From her studio in Lincolnton, NC, Frazier dervies great pleasure from forming clay into lightweight, stoneware pottery that can be enjoyed on a daily basis. Her inspiration comes from colors found in nature. She uses multiple layers of glaze to create the color schemes of ocean blue, sunglow, and South mountain green.
"In this world of mass production there is a special joy to be gained by adding handmade items, each piece unique, to our daily lives," Frazier says. "When you use and enjoy the pottery I create you complete the cycle I began with wet clay."
