Curran Gallery Moves From Isle of Palms to Charleston, SC
Curran's Beach House Gallery is moving to downtown
Charleston, SC, after three years on the Isle of Palms. Kevin
Curran, owner of the gallery, says he will miss working on the
Island but is in need of more time to paint. The new location
will be a smaller studio gallery setting and will give him the
opportunity to do so. Of course there is also the magnetic pull
of downtown Charleston to artists that Curran could no longer
resist.
The new gallery will also be showing works by Curran's mother,
Carol Ann Curran, an internationally known artist published by
Modern Art Editions. Jann Welch who has been with the Curran's
gallery from the beginning is also on board with her fine Raku
pottery as well as her beautiful, functional pieces. Along with
the location change will be the new name, "Curran Gallery".
The new location is 15 Broad Street, 2nd floor. The business hours
are Mon. -Fri. 10am-5pm by chance or appt.
Both of the Currans will also be showing their
work at Karen's Korner in Mt. Pleasant, SC, and The Knight Gallery
in Charleston.
