Sanctuary Art in Charlotte, NC, Features Second Exhibition
For it's second exhibition Charlotte, NC's newest contemporary art gallery, Sanctuary Art, presents the exhibit, Art in America, featuring a group show celebrating American craftsmanship and creative ingenuity. The exhibit will open on July 4 and run through Sept. 3, 2003.
Featured in the exhibition will be works by local and nationally recognized artists including Jerry Lee Kirk, Raed Al Rawi, C. Frank Haas, Brian Sykes, Robert Sebrosky, Randy Crawford, Mac Masterton and Tony Java. The exhibit will include paintings, photographs, wood and acrylic sculptures and mixed media work in traditional and avant-garde styles. Many of these artists are self-taught and work in styles uniquely American and indicative of the places they live. Skill, craftsmanship in various mediums and individualism of ideas is the hallmark of American artists and the theme of this exhibit.
Located in the heart of Charlotte's historic
art district, NoDa, Sanctuary Art Studio & Galleries is the
latest addition to the City's thriving art scene. Comprised of
two separate and distinct galleries, Sanctuary Art is owned and
managed by award-winning artist Jerry Lee Kirk. The galleries
feature local and national artists in group and solo shows. Commissions
for paintings and graphic design for print and web are also accepted.
