TwoArtChicks in Greensboro, NC, Presents Exhibition of Works by Gallery Artists
TwoArtChicks in Greensboro, NC, is proud to
present the exhibit, An Artists' Community, a special exhibition
of the recent works by their studio artists, which will be on
view from July 1 through Aug. 21, 2004.
TwoArtChicks provides 12 working artist studios and currently
hosts 9 exhibiting artists and 1 annex artist. This exhibit will
showcase their diverse styles, but also their influences upon
each other as an artists' community. Works will include watercolors,
oils, acrylics and metal sculpture.
From Judith Kastner, the Gallery Director's perspective: "I
am privy to the many interactions between my studio artists. I
feel very fortunate to see the influences and advice they share.
Although each artist has their own artistic style, they are influenced
by the artists around them through color, subject, perspective
and composition. Artists are influenced by the world and color
around them. When they are in an 'artists' community' they are
definitely influenced by subject matter, color, supplies, etc
We hope to share with this exhibit the influences they share and
develop together and the directions they explore themselves."
One of TwoArtChicks' missions is to encourage the development
and progression of artistic talent and skill. By presenting an
exhibition of recent studio artist works, the gallery continues
to show its support of our studio artists by the gallery through
their artistic and exhibition careers.
The artists participating in the exhibition are: Jacob DeCola,
Frances Jochum, Debbie MacKenzie, Chuck McLachlan, Carol Meetze-Moates,
Judy Meyler, Allie Scott, Jeanne Twilley, Suzanne Wilson and Tim
Zerkel.
TwoArtChicks represents close to 300 diverse
artists from across the country. Its gallery showcases original
artwork and fine crafts: everything from watercolors, oils, acrylics,
pastels, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, cards, metal, sculpture,
dolls, mixed media, wood and much more!
